Get to Know Me
I want to take you out to lunch with my photography. By offering just a visual taste of my surroundings, my photos become the breath between bites; introducing you to someone’s intense flavor or feeding you a dreamy morsel of their whole. People have delicate layers and much like ingredients, they deserve to be reflected tastefully. Through intimate film portraiture, I focus on the particularities and unique stillness of my muses. Unlike a hefty five course meal, I want my imagery to be the lunch special: accessible, palatable, satisfying yet leaves you wanting more. I am often capturing those close to me or within my own community, welcoming in viewers for a tasting knowing I can’t possibly serve them the full story.
Hungry for a glimpse of my story? As a Black/Jewish American photographer based in Brooklyn, I offer my lens to capture the blended beauty of folks around me. The result is often a candid moment in a naturally lived-in environment. By beautifying normality and the incredible nuances that exist within, each portrait I take serves as a portal to better understanding myself and hopefully for others to join in the process.
(Portrait photographer based in Brooklyn, New York. Just trying to get real people to admire the skin they’re in, one photo at time, with film. Aiming for less edits, always. See IG for more. )
